Created to remember my sister Alice in a personal, and yet public way.

Wise Words
I found discount tickets before the play Torch Song closed in early January. We didn't have a babysitter anymore so omg we took L to see it. Totally for adult audiences; good thing L was relatively mature for her age.
At one point the protagonist said, I remember it so clearly:
"It's easy to love a dead person. Because they don't talk back."
The line felt like a bag of bricks dropped on my lap. Was Alice easier to love in death than in life? What a hard, horrible thing to acknowledge.
It's true, I can have difficulties with people in my life today because they talk back. As humans do. As I do.
I feel like there's a lot more I could say on this, but my brain is saying no more right now.
